Sharon has the ability to always see the big picture whilst retaining a keen eye for detail – an essential combination – and is well known for presenting a calm and confident face at times of high stress!
Prior to setting up the business, Sharon worked for Pira International, a research, training and consultancy organisation covering the printing, paper and packaging industries where she was their Conference Manager from 1988 to 1992. From 1985 to 1988 she had worked for Leatherhead Food Research Association (a similar organisation focused on the food industry) as Assistant Manager of Sales and Training, where her responsibilities included organising, marketing and managing training courses and scientific symposia but also membership sales and liaison and general PR for the organisation. Before 1985 she was engaged in bringing up her family, during which time she studied for an Open University degree and worked part-time in PR/sales in the publishing and engineering industries.
Sharon manages the business with a hands-on style and is always on site at events, providing clear, calm and efficient leadership for the core team and the extended team, taking overall responsibility for all elements of stage management and delivery.
