FAQs

Why use a PCO?

Organising an event is almost certainly not your main job. Your objectives, in commissioning the event or in chairing the committee which hosts the event, are strategic and look to the future. The last thing you want to do is become bogged down in the millions of details which will come together to form a successful event. That’s where we come in, to free you to concentrate on your own role.

How much will it cost?

Each project is costed out on the basis of how much time we estimate it will take to achieve your objectives. Our basic overheads are kept low and you will therefore receive very good value for money from us. Furthermore, we undertake not to add any hidden mark-ups or commissions to third-party suppliers so “what you see is what you get” – we’re upfront about our fees and you’ll not have any nasty surprises at a later stage.

Do you ever take on part of a project?

We are always very happy to work with other professionals, such as PR or sponsorship consultancies, such that we do part of the overall project and they look after other aspects, according to skills and budgets. These teams can be very productive and in fact we always work as part of a team – even when the only other team member is our client!

Do you work overseas?

We’re happy to work in any location and have extensive experience of working throughout mainland Europe and North America, as well as throughout the UK.

What size events do you handle?

We’ve organised events ranging in size from 10 to 1500 and are happy with any size event within this range.

Do you have subject specialities?

We’ve been fortunate to be involved in a broad variety of different subject and industry sectors, rather than focusing on one particular area. We firmly believe that this brings benefits to our clients through our ability to stay open-minded – we won’t try and impose any kind of formula on your event.

Where are your clients based?

Our clients are based all over the world! With email, the internet and other modern forms of communication – plus our special approach to customer-care – we can work just as effectively with a client who is based in New York or San Francisco as one who is based in London or elsewhere in the UK!

Are you registered for ISO 9001?

We very much appreciate the value of this quality standard but have taken the decision not to divert resources away from our core business at this stage. Be assured that our approach to administration and systems is as rigorous as though we were registered!
